Both DTF pigment ink and ordinary pigment ink belong to pigment ink, which have the characteristics of non fading and waterproof. However, DTF ink has one more high-temperature resistance characteristic than ordinary pigment ink, which can withstand the high temperature of hot stamping without color deviation. Most ordinary pigment ink (including Epson original ink) will color deviation under high temperature.
Sublimation ink can't be used for PVC lamination free cards. DTF ink can be used. Dye ink is preferred for PVC lamination free cards. The color is good, and generally it won't fade, but fading is inevitable. It's just a matter of speed. This is a common problem of dye ink. If you want to avoid fading, you can use pigment ink, ordinary pigment ink or DTF ink. Pigment ink is not fading, but the color is not as good as dye ink, Pigment inks used on PVC non lamination cards may cause ink blooming, which is also a common problem of pigment inks. Either change a pigment ink, or change a brand of PVC card material, there will always be a match without ink halo.
